Job Description/Overview:
Community Horizons seeks two warm and compassionate caregivers to join a private in-home care team. In this fulfilling role, you will assist individuals with personal care, housekeeping, meal preparation, and companionship tasks. This position is part of the self-direction program, allowing caregivers to work directly with individuals who need support, fostering flexibility and personal connections.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nourishing meals.
Perform housekeeping to maintain a welcoming space.
Run errands as needed.
Provide gentle support during showering (no hands-on care).
Assist with writing letters or cards.
Qualifications:
Genuine dedication to making a positive difference.
Experience with basic wound care is a plus.
Must love cats.
Ability to maintain a calm and soothing presence.
Experience:
Previous caregiving experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Skills:
Compassion and attention to detail.
Ability to provide non-invasive support.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Salary:
$16.32 per hour
Schedule:
Position 1: Friday, Saturday, and every other Sunday, 9 AM – 6 PM
Position 2: Thursday – Saturday, 9 PM – 6 AM
