Job Description/Overview:
An exciting opportunity to join the expanding administrative team within the Clinical Genetics department. The role will support Patient Pathway Administrators with all elements of the patient pathway, including ERS referrals, clinic bookings, and processing correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the administration, clinical, and wider teams.
Support Patient Pathway Administrators in managing patient pathways.
Assist with clinic bookings and processing referrals and correspondence.
Qualifications:
Essential criteria:
Good standard of education (5 GCSE’s including English & Maths).
Admin experience and IT competency.
Desirable criteria:
Knowledge of medical terminology.
EPR trained.
Experience:
Essential criteria:
Experience working in administrative roles.
Experience interacting with the general public.
Organized with a positive attitude.
Desirable criteria:
NHS experience.
Evidence of team working.
Skills:
Essential criteria:
Strong IT skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and work under tight deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Adaptable and detail-oriented.
Desirable criteria:
Familiarity with NHS targets.
