Job Description/Overview:
Charterhouse AU is hiring a Customer Service Team Leader for a 2-month temporary full-time opportunity with a local government council. The role involves driving customer service excellence, implementing best practices, and leading a high-performing team focused on delivering superior community services.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Promote and implement the Council’s customer service strategy.
Develop and implement Service Level Agreements across departments.
Provide insights and contribute to the Council Plan regarding customer service priorities.
Operations:
Review and develop customer service policies and procedures.
Address complex operational issues and customer complaints.
Integrate new technologies and systems to enhance service delivery.
Monitor performance and ensure service standards are met.
Manage team resourcing and budget effectively.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing customer service team.
Ensure occupational health and safety standards are met.
Conduct performance evaluations and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Model high work standards aligned with Council values.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a Team Leader within a Contact Centre is essential.
Ability to apply strategic thinking and adapt to changing circumstances.
Expertise in customer service policies, budget management, and local government operations.
Proven leadership, staff motivation, and performance management skills.
Strong engagement, issue resolution, and report presentation abilities.
Experience:
Extensive experience developing and implementing customer service standards.
Successfully resolving complex customer service issues.
Creating a culture of customer excellence within an organization.

Hourly Rate: $60 – $70 per hour.
