Job Description/Overview:
NSW Government Agency is seeking Call Centre Operators for a 6-month contract (with possible extension) to support departmental operations. The role involves handling high-volume customer inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and performing administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by interpreting and resolving first-contact inquiries.
Maintain and update records and databases in in-house systems.
Answer inbound calls, gather information, and transfer customers to specialists efficiently.
Communicate departmental practices and procedures to customers.
Perform administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience in a call center or customer service role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook and Teams.
Technical proficiency and ability to quickly learn new systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills in a high-pressure environment.
Previous government experience is preferred but not required.
Skills:
High level of customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage rotating shifts and adapt to evolving environments.
Experience:
Experience in fast-paced, high-volume roles is essential.
Prior exposure to handling administrative tasks and customer queries.
Additional Information:
25 hours per week, 5 hours per day on a rotating roster (7am–7pm).
Initial 6-month contract with potential extension.
Hourly rate of $34.59 + Super.
