Job Description/Overview:
Our client, a highly respected global brand, is seeking an experienced Administration Assistant to support their busy transport operations. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment and providing administrative support to ensure efficient transport services. You will interact with multiple stakeholders and manage various tasks such as booking deliveries, tracking consignments, and generating reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and action group mailbox inquiries related to booking deliveries.
Book external transport services and liaise with drivers, operations staff, and carriers.
Track consignments on internal systems and external carrier websites.
Answer phone inquiries and make outbound calls to schedule deliveries and timeslots.
Generate daily reports (training on specific reporting tools provided).
Provide general administrative support to the transport team.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a fast-paced administrative position.
Strong customer service background.
Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel and Outlook.
Ability to start immediately and have your own transport.
Experience:
Administrative experience in a logistics or transport setting is preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
