Job Description/Overview
Tesla’s Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg is seeking a Site Manager to coordinate contractors, manage workforce activities, and oversee project execution. This role plays a pivotal part in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy by delivering high-quality results within tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Manage subcontractors to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
Provide construction updates, including 3-week look-ahead schedules, to the Construction Manager.
Create Scope of Work (SOW) on workforce management and ensure contractor access.
Supervise project planning, interior fixings, and equipment installations to meet quality standards.
Perform invoice checks to provide accurate information for approvals.
Support site handovers, lead punch list completion, and ensure satisfactory delivery to clients.
Manage material deliveries, storage, and surveys of Tesla facilities.
Address blockers faced by contractors while protecting existing systems.
Escalate unresolved issues to the Construction Manager.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Construction, Engineering, or a Technical Field, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus).
Flexibility to cover night and weekend shifts.
Willingness to work in the field and handle tasks requiring a hands-on approach.
Experience
Prior experience in construction project management is preferred.
