Job Description/ Overview
Stegra seeks a safety-focused Process Operator to join their Meltshop team. This role involves operating and maintaining state-of-the-art equipment at their green steel factory, contributing to sustainable industrial practices and the green transition.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and service equipment in the Meltshop production area while meeting safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems related to melting processes.
Verify, document, and input data accurately.
Maintain high housekeeping standards in the Meltshop.
Participate in developing and implementing process controls and safety practices.
Train new employees to ensure safety and efficiency.
Proactively identify and implement solutions.
Qualifications
Relevant vocational qualification or equivalent operational experience.
Mandatory Certificates:
Hot Works certificate.
Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, Confined Space, Working at Heights).
Preferred Certifications:
Crane license.
Welding certificate.
Proficiency in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.
Experience Required
Extensive experience in a Steel Plant or metal processing operation.
Familiarity with Meltshop equipment (EAF, AC/DC, High Power Furnace).
Advanced knowledge of operational processes and tools in a Steel Plant.
Previous experience in developing work methods and manuals.
Strong understanding of PPE usage.
