Job Description/Overview
Vestas is looking for a Field Supervisor to lead a team of around 20 service technicians in Simo, Finland. This role involves ensuring the execution of operational plans, overseeing performance, and developing team efficiency while maintaining safety, quality, and cost goals. The Field Supervisor is responsible for people management, performance reviews, and driving continuous improvement within the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the execution of operational plans, setting expectations, and creating routines for technicians.
Manage the performance of technicians, ensuring safety, quality, and timeliness of work.
Hire and conduct performance discussions with technicians.
Collaborate with internal departments to improve processes and maintain high standards.
Oversee business development by optimizing performance and adhering to budget targets.
Actively promote continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
Maintain effective communication within the team and with other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams of at least 10 people.
Strong background in business, operational management, or similar.
Comfortable with budget responsibilities and achieving results through others.
Experience in continuous improvement processes (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
Fluency in written and spoken English and Finnish.
Experience:
At least 3 years of relevant professional or educational background in a related field.
Skills:
Strong people leadership and communication skills.
Ability to set clear expectations and drive team performance.
Business acumen with experience in financial management and budgeting.
Proficient in continuous improvement techniques and operational excellence.
