Job Description/Overview:
dnata catering, the largest inflight catering and retail partner in Australia, is looking for a skilled Food Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join their team at Melbourne Airport. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct food safety induction and refresher training for all employees.
Provide on-the-job training to ensure processes are followed and documented.
Support the team in managing Food Safety/HACCP and risk prevention.
Identify and address non-conformance issues, providing preventative actions.
Investigate and report customer complaints, including food safety incidents.
Advise internal and external stakeholders on Food Safety, HACCP, and Halal compliance.
Conduct audits and perform ad-hoc food safety tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or a similar discipline.
HACCP qualification.
Knowledge and experience in food manufacturing and quality assurance.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience working with Ready-to-Eat (RTE) high-risk foods.
Experience in food safety auditing (internal and external).
Prior experience in food manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with ISO22000:2018 certification.
Skills:
Strong communication and training skills.
Ability to provide expert advice and support on food safety matters.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
