Job Description/Overview
Cherry Blossom Cottage, a dedicated senior living community, is looking for compassionate and dependable caregivers to join our team. We are currently hiring for the swing shift and require flexibility on days, including weekends.
The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with the elderly, a strong work ethic, and the ability to collaborate with others effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and daily grooming.
Support residents to and from dining areas and restrooms.
Respond to resident calls and provide mobility assistance, including transfers from wheelchairs to chairs.
Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed.
Provide dementia care following the 6-hour pre-service training (state-mandated).
Qualifications
COVID-19 Vaccination: Ongoing boosters are required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of caregiver experience (preferred).
License/Certification:
First Aid Certification (preferred).
Food Handler Certification (preferred).
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, transfer, and complete essential caregiving functions.
Experience
Previous experience working with elderly residents or in a caregiving role is highly valued.
Skills
Compassion and patience for elderly care.
Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
Dependability and adaptability to flexible schedules.
Work Schedule
8-hour shifts (evening shifts).
Weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
Compensation
Pay: $22.00/hour
Expected Hours: 15–40 hours per week
