Position : Social Care Worker

Job Description/Overview:
The Muiriosa Foundation is recruiting Social Care Workers to join their team in Kildare Residential Services. The role involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism to live fulfilling lives within their communities. Successful candidates will be responsible for implementing personalized care programs, promoting community participation, and assisting individuals in developing social relationships. The foundation is looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate individuals with experience in person-centered planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals in their community and promote participation in activities.
Develop and implement person-centered care plans.
Assist with personal care and administer medication.
Foster local community connections and encourage new experiences.
Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and safeguarding regulations.
Maintain accurate care records and update them regularly.
Work various shifts, including day, weekend, and overnight duties.
Qualifications:
Recognized Diploma in Social Care / Applied Social Studies in Social Care (Level 7).
CORU registration or in the process of registration.
Full current driving license.
Knowledge of HIQA, safeguarding, and vulnerable adults protection.
Experience:
Experience supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.
Experience working with individuals with behaviors of concern.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Skills:
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of person-centered approaches.
Ability to work flexibly across shifts.
