Job Description/Overview:

 

St. Catherine’s Association, a non-profit organization funded by the HSE, provides health-related supports to children and young adults with intellectual disabilities and autism. We are currently seeking Social Care Workers to join our team in various roles across our Residential, Respite, and Day Services.

 

Positions Available:

 

Permanent Full-time (39 hours/week)

 

Permanent Part-time

 

Relief (Flexible hours and shifts available)

You are committed to applying best practices in Social Care and provide excellent care consistently.

 

We Are:

 

St. Catherine’s Association, dedicated to providing high-quality services to individuals with moderate to profound intellectual disabilities and autism. Our services include Respite and Short Breaks, Adult Day Services, Residential Services, and access to clinical support through referrals to the Children’s Disability Network Team.

 

Job Role:

 

Provide a supportive and high-quality atmosphere for individuals in care.

 

Promote participation in activities and assist in skill development programs.

 

Offer support in completing daily tasks and activities.

 

Facilitate community integration by developing local contacts.

 

Administer medication and provide personal care and health support.

 

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

 

Report to the Children’s Services Manager.

 

Qualifications:

 

Social Care Worker: QQI Level 7 BA in Applied Social Studies, Social Care, or equivalent (or working towards it).

 

An interest in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.

 

Person-centred approach with excellent communication skills.

 

Flexibility for shift work (e.g., sleepovers, night shifts, weekends).

 

Knowledge of HIQA regulations for residential and respite services.

 

Full driving license and willingness to drive company vehicles.

 

Desirable Experience:

 

Experience supporting individuals with challenging behaviors.
