Job Description/Overview
Sensient Technologies, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of colors, flavors, and extracts, is seeking a Sales Manager to join the Australian Sales Leadership team. This role involves driving growth through strategic relationships, developing a robust sales pipeline, gaining new customers, and executing innovative business development strategies. The position will be based in Keysborough with travel required within Melbourne and occasionally interstate.
Key Responsibilities
Understand market trends, dynamics, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities and expand market presence.
Develop and execute business plans for customer accounts, including strategies, sales forecasts, and customer satisfaction targets.
Review and manage margins to meet SOP targets.
Identify market gaps and develop relationships with profitable customers that have high growth potential.
Lead and motivate the sales team to build a solid pipeline and achieve business objectives.
Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of business development and sales experience within food & beverage, flavors, or specialty chemicals, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a sales team.
Strong communication, motivational, and teamwork abilities.
A drive and passion to succeed and win in the marketplace.
Experience
Proven experience in managing and leading a sales team in a similar industry.
Technical experience is helpful but not required.
Skills
Strong market knowledge and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
Proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team to success.
