Job Description/Overview:
Highpoint at Fort Mill is a premier senior living retirement community. They are looking for a full-time caregiver to assist residents with daily activities, ensure their health and safety, and provide emotional support in a warm and welcoming environment. This position offers an opportunity for growth and advancement within the senior care field.
Key Responsibilities:
Follow individualized care plans for each resident and report any changes in condition to nursing supervisor.
Document care and changes throughout the shift, including night rounds.
Assist with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
Perform restorative nursing tasks, including positioning, ADL training, and range of motion exercises.
Encourage resident participation in activities and assist with transport.
Respond to urgent calls in a timely manner.
Assist with transfers and use appropriate mechanical devices for safety.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Nursing Assistant Training Program certification (if required by state).
CNA certification preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification (if required).
Experience:
Prior experience as a caregiver is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and bending.
Compassionate and patient approach with elderly residents.
