Position: National Business Manager – Independent Retail & Alternate Channels

Job Description/Overview:
Primo Foods, a leading name in the food industry and part of the JBS Australia Group, is looking for a dynamic National Business Manager to manage key accounts within Independent Retail and Alternate Channels, focusing on the Metcash Dairy category. This role involves driving sales growth, leading a team of National Account Managers, and building strong customer relationships to enhance Primo’s market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary contact for Metcash Dairy, championing account strategies across Primo to strengthen customer relationships.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence.
Achieve KPIs and work collaboratively with the Customer Director.
Manage pricing, trading terms, and discounts to optimize channel profitability.
Develop strategic initiatives to meet budget targets within designated accounts.
Oversee customer Category Reviews and optimize strategic plans.
Support Customer Director with timely NPD delivery for presentations and implementation.
Track and enhance the sales performance and distribution metrics of the Primo range.
Formulate and implement marketing strategies within the set budget.
Set pricing and trading strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining competitiveness.
Build robust joint business plans for mutually profitable growth with customers.
Ensure availability and visibility of Primo and Hans branded products in stores.
Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proven ability to inspire and influence.
Strong strategic and operational abilities.
Experience in relationship building with major customers.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Field experience, with strong analytical skills (proficient in MS Office: PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Excel).
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work well under pressure.
Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
Experience:
Extensive experience in a similar National Business Manager or account management role within FMCG.
