Job Description:
Holiday Inn is looking for an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to manage and supervise the maintenance team, ensuring that the hotel’s equipment, systems, and facilities remain in optimal working condition. This role requires a combination of leadership, technical skills, and excellent guest service management.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise Maintenance Team: Lead and manage the maintenance team, including scheduling, task delegation, and performance evaluations. Provide training, guidance, and support to the team.
Preventative Maintenance Program: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventative maintenance program to ensure the proper functioning of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems.
Repair and Maintenance: Oversee routine maintenance tasks (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical repairs). Respond to urgent repair requests promptly to minimize disruptions.
Facility Management: Ensure the upkeep of guest rooms, common areas, conference rooms, pools, restaurants, and exterior spaces. Ensure fire safety, security systems, and emergency equipment meet local regulations.
Inventory and Supplies Management: Maintain inventory of parts, tools, and equipment required for repairs. Order supplies and track resource usage efficiently.
Compliance with Health & Safety Regulations: Ensure maintenance work complies with local health, safety, and environmental regulations, including hotel policies on sanitation and security.
Budget and Cost Control: Assist with managing the maintenance department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective repairs while maintaining quality.
Guest Service & Satisfaction: Address guest maintenance-related requests and concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience.
Energy and Water Conservation Initiatives: Implement sustainable practices to improve energy efficiency and reduce water consumption within the hotel.
Emergency Response: Act as the first point of contact for emergency maintenance issues and coordinate repair efforts to restore normal operations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) and general maintenance skills.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve under pressure.
