Job Description/Overview:
Visiting Angels in Crowley, TX, is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide high-quality, non-medical assistance to elderly clients. This role is specifically for weekend shifts, providing essential support that allows our clients to remain safe and comfortable in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care tasks (bathing, grooming, dressing, etc.)
Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities
Support clients with mobility, transfers, and positioning
Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
Ensure medication reminders are followed
Monitor and report changes in client health or behavior to supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Compassionate, patient, and reliable
Strong communication skills
Basic knowledge of caregiving principles
Experience:
Previous experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
Experience with elderly clients or individuals with Alzheimer’s/dementia is a plus
Skills:
Ability to follow care plans and perform tasks with attention to detail
Understanding of client safety and hygiene practices
Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and moving clients
