Job Description/Overview:
Visiting Angels in Fort Worth, TX, is looking for dedicated private duty caregivers to provide compassionate and personalized care to elderly clients in their homes. This role focuses on assisting clients with their daily needs, offering companionship, and ensuring a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with personal care tasks (e.g., bathing, grooming, dressing)
Provide companionship and emotional support
Aid with mobility, transfers, and positioning
Prepare meals and handle light housekeeping
Follow medication reminders and track client health changes
Communicate any changes in health or behavior to the supervisor
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Caring, reliable, and patient
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of caregiving practices is an advantage
Experience:
Prior experience in caregiving or a related field preferred
Experience with elderly clients or individuals with Alzheimer’s/dementia is a plus
Skills:
Ability to follow instructions and care plans closely
Basic understanding of hygiene and client safety protocols
Physical capability for handling transfers and movement assistance
