Job Description/Overview:
Visiting Angels in Eagle Mountain, TX, is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Aide (PCA) to provide compassionate, non-medical support to elderly clients. The role focuses on assisting clients with daily activities to improve their quality of life and maintain their independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist clients with daily personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
Provide companionship and engage clients in activities
Help with mobility and transfers
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping tasks
Follow medication reminders and monitor health changes
Communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Compassionate, patient, and dependable
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Basic knowledge of caregiving principles
Experience:
Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred
Experience working with elderly clients or those with Alzheimer’s/dementia is a plus
Skills:
Ability to carry out assigned tasks with attention to detail
Familiarity with hygiene and safety standards
Physical stamina for handling mobility support
