Job Description:
Outlier is seeking experienced English writers to help train generative artificial intelligence models by providing human feedback. As a freelance writer, you’ll engage in reading and writing-intensive tasks, contributing to the development of AI models by ranking AI-generated responses, rewriting prompts, fact-checking, and assessing the relevance and factual accuracy of AI-produced content.
Responsibilities:
- Read English text and rank AI-generated responses based on clarity, coherence, and quality.
- Write, rewrite, and refine prompts and responses, including conducting research and verifying factual accuracy.
- Assess and provide feedback on the strengths and weaknesses of AI-generated content.
Requirements:
- Professional experience as a writer or editor.
- Bachelor’s degree (or in progress) in a writing-related discipline is preferred.
- Exceptional English spelling and grammar skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent logic and reasoning abilities.
- Ability to clearly explain the strengths and weaknesses of written content.
Payment:
- United States: $15 to $35 USD per hour
- United Kingdom: £11 to £27 GBP per hour
- Canada: $20 to $48 CAD per hour
- Australia: $22 to $53 AUD per hour
- New Zealand: $25 to $58 NZD per hour
Note: Pay rates vary based on expertise, location, and project needs. Certain projects may offer additional incentive payments.
Additional Information:
- Freelance contract, 1099 position with Outlier.ai platform.
- Flexible hours with the ability to work remotely.
- Must be authorized to work in your country of residence. International students may be eligible if they are on a visa (please consult with your immigration advisor).
