Job Description/Overview
Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products is looking for a Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on enhancing Guest and Cast experiences through innovative software solutions. This role involves working with full-stack technologies, designing scalable code, collaborating with team members on solutions, and continuously improving applications to meet Disney’s high standards for unforgettable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement reliable, scalable, and well-documented code.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop performant and reusable solutions.
Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality code delivery.
Experiment with new technologies to develop proofs of concept.
Write unit and component tests and proactively improve production application quality.
Participate in daily scrum updates and accurately estimate development tasks.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in software engineering, analysis, and full software development lifecycle.
Proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, SQL, NoSQL, and object-oriented programming.
Familiarity with microservices, cloud-native applications (AWS), Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, and scripting languages such as JavaScript (Angular/React).
Strong analytical skills and experience with web services and distributed applications.
Preferred Skills
Experience with GraphQL/GraphDBs and developing prototypes of new technologies.
Background in commerce-related software, particularly products, pricing, and inventory domains.
