Job Description/Overview:
The Convention Sales Executive will be responsible for evaluating and handling incoming event inquiries, with a specific focus on the Asian market. This role involves planning and organizing conferences, private events, congresses, and group bookings. The position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage clear communication between departments. Additionally, the executive will be involved in contracting, invoicing, and ensuring all events are executed smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate and qualify incoming event inquiries, distributing them among the team.
Handle Asian market event inquiries.
Plan conferences, private events, and group bookings, ensuring smooth execution.
Facilitate communication between departments regarding event processes and procedures.
Engage with guests, offering tours and providing personal meetings.
Oversee event contracts and invoicing processes.
Collaborate with other hotel departments and leadership teams to meet sales goals.
Qualifications:
Relevant work experience in the events or banqueting sector within the hotel industry.
Extensive knowledge of the Asian market.
Detail-oriented, creative, and professional appearance.
Strong communication skills in both German and English.
Experience:
Proven experience in event management, with a focus on conferences and group bookings.
Skills:
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Fluent in German and English, with an understanding of the Asian market.
