Job Description/Overview:
The Pro-Active Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue by proactively soliciting business from various market segments, including small business accounts, sourcing new accounts, and re-soliciting past business leads. The role involves supporting property sales strategies, ensuring competitive sales tactics, and providing assistance with internal mining efforts at assigned hotels. The executive will also collaborate with sales teams and leadership to achieve hotel revenue goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively solicit business and re-solicit past business leads.
Manage sales activities for assigned hotels, including funnel management and sales reporting.
Work closely with the Property Sales Leader to identify key accounts and implement sales strategies.
Conduct customer-facing sales activities like site inspections, calls, and events.
Utilize sales tools to track and generate new business opportunities.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and assist in resolving customer issues.
Qualifications:
Required: High school diploma or GED; 2 years of experience in sales, marketing, guest services, or related areas; OR a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related major.
Preferred: 4-year college degree; previous experience in proactive lead generation and knowledge of the hospitality industry.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales and marketing role in the hospitality industry.
Skills:
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple sales activities.
Strong knowledge of the hospitality industry and sales strategies.
Proficiency with sales tools and systems (e.g., CI/TY SFA Web, MRDW, MarRFP-SAPP).
