Job Description/Overview:
Join Micro Systems Engineering, Inc. (MSEI) as a Software Engineer to work on innovative applications supporting implantable medical devices. This role involves collaborating within an agile team to develop and refine software that interfaces with critical medical technologies. The position offers opportunities for project leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in all software development phases: requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation, debugging, unit testing, and verification.
Use best practices to determine technical approaches to assignments.
Solve diverse problems within the context of existing architecture.
Code and review software to produce efficient solutions for product requirements.
Maintain software documentation required for projects.
Contribute ideas for continuous process improvement and complete project milestones.
Qualifications:
Education: BS degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 2 years of graduate-level coursework and/or experience in software engineering.
Proficiency in C#, Java, or C++ is required.
Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in an agile development environment and the medical device industry.
Knowledge of full-stack development, ReactiveUI, and MS Xamarin Forms application development.
Experience with Azure DevOps and an interest in distributed and/or NoSQL databases.
Physical Requirements:
Must be independently mobile and able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required to interact with a computer for extended periods and communicate with co-workers.
