Job Description/Overview:
Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Designer with a background in construction, cladding, or façades for a hybrid role based in Croydon. This role provides a rewarding opportunity with a principal contractor known for its market-leading work in façade cladding redemption across the South of England and expanding nationwide. You will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, conducting site visits, and collaborating across departments to address technical challenges and ensure project accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and revise technical drawings from initial concepts to implementation.
Conduct site surveys and document work with photographic evidence.
Collaborate with project teams and external partners.
Address technical queries and provide problem-solving support.
Utilize CAD/Revit for design work.
Qualifications:
Degree in Engineering or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of facades, EWI, cladding, and rainscreen systems.
Basic CSCS card required.
Experience:
Previous experience as a Design Technician or similar role in the cladding/facades industry.
Skills:
Proficiency in CAD and Revit.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
