Job Description/Overview:
Marriott International is hiring a Steward Supervisor for the pre-opening of the Luxembourg Marriott Hotel Alfa. The role involves supervising stewards to maintain cleanliness, assisting in kitchen tasks, and supporting banquet and buffet operations. Duties include monitoring water temperature and chemical levels, operating cleaning equipment, and returning cleaned items to designated areas. The supervisor will also aid in hiring, training, scheduling, and guiding staff to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and assist stewards for efficient cleanup
Ensure proper cleaning processes and documentation of water temperature and chemical levels
Support banquet and buffet setup, providing needed items for kitchen staff
Operate and maintain cleaning equipment (e.g., dishwashing machines, trash compactors)
Assist in hiring, training, evaluating, and motivating team members
Maintain high standards in cleanliness, safety, and guest service
Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Experience:
At least 2 years of related work experience and 1 year in a supervisory role
Skills:
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
