Job Description/Overview:
The role involves working on the analysis and interpretation of physiological data within the Data-analytics and Optimization (DAO) research group at Tampere University’s Pori Campus. The position supports the EHEÄ project in collaboration with local educational and vocational organizations. The researcher will design data acquisition setups, collect physiological data (ECG, heart rate, GSR, EEG, etc.), and analyze its impact on well-being in real-life situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Designing physiological data acquisition setups.
Acquiring physiological data in compliance with data regulations.
Analyzing data and interpreting results.
Presenting research at events.
Reporting research outcomes in scientific publications and project reports.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a related field, such as computer science, signal processing, machine learning, or data science.
Willingness to pursue postgraduate studies is an advantage.
Experience:
Proficiency in Python and MATLAB.
Experience in physiological signal analysis and health data analytics is beneficial.
Skills:
Teamwork with stakeholders and companies.
Capability to work independently in data acquisition and in a cross-cultural environment.

Additional Information:
Fixed-term contract until March 31, 2027, with a possible extension.
Monthly salary range: €2,600–€3,000.
A trial period of six months applies to new employees.
