Position Overview:
As a Senior Accountant specializing in outsourced accounting for casino industry clients, you’ll play a key role in financial operations, compliance, and client relationships. This position involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, assisting with month-end close, and working closely with tribal and casino clients to meet their unique financial needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage general ledger preparation, reconciliation, and transactional level reviews.
- Prepare and finalize month-end close for casino and tribal clients.
- Prepare and review workpapers and schedules to ensure audit readiness.
- Provide on-site client services as needed.
- Lead or participate in software implementations, conversions, and setups.
- Complete and review entries for debt, assets, and gaming revenue.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their financial needs are met.
- Collaborate with management to set client expectations and develop service plans.
- Act as a peer advisor and mentor for new staff, providing guidance and feedback.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting preferred.
- Experience in the casino or gaming industry, particularly with tribal casino enterprises, is highly preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct software is preferred.
