Job Description/Overview:
Badger Sheet Metal Works is seeking a reliable and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing the shipping process, ensuring products are packed, documented, and shipped according to company and client specifications. This role includes inventory management, coordination with the loading team, and accuracy in shipping documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify products against paperwork for accuracy.
Determine packaging requirements for each shipment.
Decide on the shipping method for various products.
Build pallets and boxes to secure products for shipment.
Coordinate truck loading to optimize efficiency.
Complete all necessary paperwork for each shipment.
Ensure inventory accuracy and conduct inventory checks.
Handle UPS shipping and complete related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
1-3 years of forklift operation experience, following all safety regulations.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience reading purchase orders, packing slips, and prints.
Prior shipping experience, especially within a manufacturing environment.
Experience:
Prior experience in shipping roles preferred, including familiarity with inventory management and order documentation.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to build custom packaging.
