Job Description/Overview:
Green Bay Packaging – Folding Carton Division is seeking a dedicated Sheeter Operator to join our team. The Sheeter Operator will be responsible for the set-up and efficient operation of a Marquip Sheeter. This role involves troubleshooting, inventory management, and ensuring product quality, with a focus on meeting production standards and specifications. This is a 3rd shift position with overtime and weekend hours as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up each job on the machine, including retrieving, feeding, slitting, and trimming rolls.
Operate the Marquip Sheeter at optimal efficiency.
Follow job-specific work instructions and procedures.
Troubleshoot and adjust the machine as required.
Ensure product meets specifications and maintain quality standards.
Manage inventory accurately.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
Quality-conscious with good communication skills.
Basic computer and mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot.
Experience operating clamp trucks, forklifts, and rider pallet jacks.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift with potential for overtime and weekends.
Prior manufacturing experience is beneficial but not required.
Experience:
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus, though no experience is required.
Skills:
Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to operate material handling equipment.
