Job Description/Overview:
Republic Companies is seeking a full-time delivery driver and warehouse employee for their Dubuque location. Republic, a 108-year-old enterprise with a family atmosphere, is one of the largest independent distributors in the Midwest for electrical, HVAC, energy management, refrigeration, and sign support products. This entry-level position offers room for advancement and involves delivery services as well as warehouse tasks. The position allows you to be home in the evenings and have weekends free.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate box trucks for delivery services
Provide efficient and courteous customer service
Use moving equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
Perform physical tasks such as squatting, bending, and lifting items over 50 lbs
Pass D.O.T. physical and drug screening
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
CDL preferred but not required
Delivery driver experience
Knowledge of forklift and pallet jack operations
Strong customer service skills
Energetic with an eye for detail
Experience:
Prior delivery driver experience preferred
Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial
Skills:
Excellent customer service and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
Physically fit to handle demanding warehouse tasks
