Job Description/Overview:
A public sector client in West Yorkshire is seeking a Highways Drainage Officer to manage the design, procurement, and construction management of highway infrastructure maintenance and winter service programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise a team and coordinate contractors.
Design and implement highway works using internal and external suppliers.
Provide high-quality maintenance of highways infrastructure and related projects.
Develop and manage cost-effective planned and reactive maintenance programs.
Ensure health and safety standards for staff and depot operations.
Qualifications:
Level 4 qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Experience in asset management and highway engineering.
Familiarity with CDM legislation and applicable regulations.
Skills:
Ability to produce reports and develop business cases.
Effective presentation skills for diverse audiences.
