Job Description/Overview:
Capital Sanitary Supply is looking for a Warehouse & Backup Driver to join their team in Dubuque, IA. This full-time position involves working Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm. The role includes filling orders, verifying received freight, picking “will call” orders, and handling various warehouse tasks. The candidate will also act as a backup driver when needed, driving a 26′ box truck. Competitive wages, excellent benefits, and quarterly bonuses are offered.
Key Responsibilities:
Fill and verify orders, organize materials in designated storage areas
Operate RF scanner for inventory management
Load, transport, and deliver items safely to customers or businesses
Conduct order review to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction
Load and unload items from vehicles
Obtain customer signatures and accept payments when necessary
Provide exceptional customer service
Operate necessary equipment, including trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks
Perform additional assigned responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Valid driver’s license with a good MVR record
Familiarity with DOT pre-trip/post-trip inspection process
Ability to drive for extended periods and lift/move up to 50 lbs
Experience:
1-2 years previous warehouse experience
1-2 years experience as a delivery driver required
Previous experience with a 26′ box truck is beneficial
Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
Skills:
Strong time management, customer service, and communication skills
Dependable and reliable with excellent hand-eye coordination for driving safety
