Job Description/Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistants/Care Assistants to join our newly established team at Blythe Rose, caring for individuals living with dementia in small lodges housing 12-15 residents. These lodges are designed to create a home-from-home environment, with beautifully designed interiors and gardens, offering a stunning place to live and work.
Our phased opening allows staff to grow both personally and professionally within a supportive environment, with excellent opportunities for internal promotion. We focus on outstanding, person-centred care, promoting independence and high-quality living.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care to residents living with dementia in a home-style environment.
Assist with personal care, including hygiene, dressing, and eating.
Administer medication and maintain accurate records (for Senior Care Assistants).
Engage residents in social and recreational activities to stimulate their physical and mental well-being.
Maintain accurate care records and uphold the highest standards of care.
Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of resident care.
Work on a flexible 12-hour shift rota (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM) with alternate weekends off.
Qualifications
NVQ Level 3 in Care (for Senior Care Assistants).
Experience as a care assistant (minimum of 1 year required).
Willingness to complete internal training and development.
Experience
At least 1 year of experience in care assistance.
Experience working with individuals living with dementia is preferred.
Skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
