Job Description/Overview:
As a Care Assistant for 1st Class Care, you will help individuals live independently in their own homes, supporting vulnerable adults in their daily activities while adhering to the standards of the Care Inspectorate Scotland. Key responsibilities include getting to know service users and their families, providing personal care, assisting with meal preparation, administering medication, and performing domestic tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with personal care and hygiene.
Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs.
Administer medication as prescribed.
Perform domestic tasks to maintain a clean living environment.
Develop a positive relationship with service users and their families.
Adhere to Care Inspectorate Scotland guidelines and 1st Class Care values.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a care role is an advantage but not required.
Full training provided with paid shadow shifts (qualifying period applies).
Driving is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience:
Relevant care experience is beneficial but not necessary as full training will be provided.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Salary:
£10.50 – £11.50 per hour (depending on experience).
Overtime:
Guaranteed overtime rate: £15.75 – £17.25 per hour.
Additional Benefits:
Mileage allowance: 20p per mile + £100 additional mileage per calendar month.
