The Role:
As the Social Media Strategy & Content Manager for our Fine Wines division, you’ll manage social media for premium brands such as Robert Mondavi Winery and My Favorite Neighbor. Reporting to the PR Manager – Fine Wines, you’ll develop and execute data-driven social media strategies and content that reflect each brand’s unique ethos. This role requires deep social media expertise, creativity, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop social media strategies and content calendars aligned with brand goals and cultural trends
Create, manage, and implement engaging social media content across platforms
Oversee content creation, including managing photo and video shoots, developing mood boards, and handling creative briefs
Occasionally capture and edit product and event photos or videos
Write compelling captions tailored to each platform
Manage community engagement to foster relationships and grow brand following
Collaborate with PR, Brand Experience, eCommerce, and other teams to ensure cohesive strategies
Provide insights on social media performance and use analytics to refine future campaigns
Utilize third-party tools like Sprout Social for monitoring, posting, and engagement
Identify new social marketing and community outreach opportunities
Core Competencies:
Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and amplification strategies
Proven ability to align social strategies with business goals and KPIs
Experience managing brand-specific content and tone across multiple platforms
Excellent written and visual storytelling skills
Strong project management, time management, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to navigate a complex, collaborative business environment
Proficient in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Office) and content creation tools (e.g. Canva)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (required)
3+ years of experience managing social media for consumer brands, either in-house or at an agency
Ability to travel to Napa or Paso Robles 1-2 times per month, as needed, and attend key brand events
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for content posting, community management, and events
