Position: Support Worker

Job Description/Overview:
Inspire is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to join our team on a Full-Time Reduced basis (30 hours per week). The ideal candidate will work with individuals to promote their active participation in meaningful everyday activities, enhancing their control, confidence, and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage individuals in daily activities to ensure active participation.
Provide support in personal care, including feeding, hygiene, and toileting.
Facilitate animal interaction and therapeutic horseback riding.
Assist individuals during pool sessions under the guidance of instructors/therapists.
Implement activities recommended by therapists in multisensory rooms.
Support vocational training where appropriate.
Supervise transport as per program requirements.
Adhere to therapists’ recommendations tailored to individual needs.
Follow Behavior Support Plans, Risk Assessments, and Sensory Profiles.
Research and develop creative methods for session delivery.
Assist tutors/teachers/therapists with small group sessions.
Commit to continuous professional development and training offered by Inspire.
Qualifications:
Recognized qualification at MQF Level 3 or higher (minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET) in health and social care or relevant field.
Previous experience in the disability field preferred.
High proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
Experience:
Experience working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.
Skills:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Creative problem-solving abilities.
