Job Description/Overview:

Inspire is currently seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team on a Full-Time basis. The successful candidate will work with individuals to promote their active participation in meaningful everyday activities, regardless of their level of ability. This role aims to enhance the control, confidence, and independence of those supported.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Engage individuals in daily activities to ensure active participation.

 

Provide assistance with daily feeding needs, hygiene, toileting, and transitions.

 

Facilitate animal interaction and therapeutic horseback riding sessions.

 

Assist clients during pool sessions under the guidance of instructors/therapists.

 

Implement activities recommended by therapists in multisensory rooms.

 

Support vocational training when appropriate.

 

Supervise transport according to program requirements.

 

Adhere to therapists’ recommendations based on individual needs.

 

Follow tutors’, teachers’, and therapists’ guidance based on individual SMART goals.

 

Implement Behavior Support Plans, Risk Assessments, and Sensory Profiles under the guidance of tutors/therapists.

 

Support individuals in participating in planned curriculum activities.

 

Research and develop creative methods for delivering sessions based on individual/group needs.

 

Assist tutors/teachers/therapists with delivering sessions in small groups.

 

Commit to continuous professional development and participate in training offered by Inspire.

 

Joe Requirements:

 

Recognized qualification at MQF Level 3 or higher (minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET) in health and social care or a relevant field.

 

Previous experience in the disability field, with preference given to candidates with exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder or challenging behavior.

 

High proficiency in the English language (both spoken and written).

 

Experience:

 

Experience in working with individuals with disabilities is desirable.

 

Skills:

 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Ability to work collaboratively in a team.

 

Creative problem-solving abilities.
