Job Overview:
GIZA Systems is seeking a qualified HSE Specialist to ensure the implementation of GS HSE Standards and Management Systems at project sites in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in promoting a positive Health and Safety culture among project staff and ensuring compliance with company and client HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementation & Compliance:
- Ensure the GS HSE Standards and Management System are implemented at the site level.
- Audit and inspect project sites to meet company and client HSE requirements.
- Reporting & Statistics:
- Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly safety statistics.
- Review progress towards compliance with company and client requirements and provide monthly status reports to the Project’s HSE Advisor.
- Risk Assessment & Investigation:
- Participate in carrying out project risk and impact assessments.
- Investigate safety observations, near misses, and accidents reported from the project.
- Training & Awareness:
- Conduct Toolbox Talks and HSE awareness sessions for the project team.
- Promote a positive Health and Safety attitude among project staff by issuing safety guidelines as necessary.
- Collaboration:
- Attend regular contractors’ meetings on site as requested.
- Ensure remedial action is taken to eliminate or reduce any significant risks identified in assessments.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Willingness to work on remote sites and travel across KSA.
- Strong ability to prepare written reports on the project’s HSE performance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of HSE standards, regulations, and best practices.
