Job Description/Overview:
North Alabama Medical Center is looking for a Social Worker to join their healthcare team. The Social Worker will provide essential support to patients, ensuring their mental and emotional well-being is addressed during their care. The position requires weekend and holiday shifts on a rotating basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide mental health support and care to patients.
Assist in creating and implementing patient care plans.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Maintain records and documentation of patient progress.
Qualifications:
Education/License: Licensed through the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners (Minimum LBSW).
Experience: Three months or less of work experience required; 1-3 years of experience in healthcare and/or mental health preferred.
Salary Range:
Base pay: $40K – $56K/year (Glassdoor estimate).
Median salary: $47K/year.
