Job Description/Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated NMC Registered Nurse to join our Gynaecology Outpatients team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care to patients, ensuring a positive and supportive experience throughout their outpatient journey. This role involves working closely with obstetricians, midwives, and gynaecology surgeons.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist in coordinating clinics, ensuring efficient patient flow.
– Support consultants and CNSs during colposcopy exams and procedures.
– Administer medications and manage nurse-led injection clinics.
– Provide patient education on procedures, treatments, and post-care instructions.
– Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with data protection regulations.
– Support patients in emotionally challenging situations, such as miscarriages, terminations, and cancer diagnoses.
– Contribute to the training and development of junior staff and students.
– Participate in the audit and quality improvement of outpatient services.
Qualifications
– NMC Registered Nurse
Experience
– Experience in women’s health and gynaecology.
– Competence in venepuncture is required.
Skills
– Compassionate and patient-focused care.
– Strong communication and organisational skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
