Job Description/Overview
BSG Carrier is seeking full-time Long Haul Truck Drivers to transport goods and materials. The role involves operating trucks, performing vehicle inspections and maintenance, and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Key Responsibilities
– Load and unload goods
– Drive and operate straight or articulated trucks
– Inspect vehicle condition and perform preventive maintenance
– Pay and receive payments for goods
– Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
– Record cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption
– Ensure safety and security of cargo, including handling dangerous goods
Qualifications
– Valid Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Experience
– Will train
Skills
– Ability to handle heavy loads
– Physically demanding tasks
– Good organisational skills
– Reliable and flexible
