Job Description/Overview:
The Laboratoire National de Santé (LNS) is recruiting a full-time Senior Lawyer (m/f), attached to the management, on a permanent contract (40 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory provisions within LNS;
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts such as commercial contracts, research contracts, agreements, collaboration agreements, and other legal documents;
- Collaborate with the procurement department and other departments for the launch of calls for tenders and ensure the proper follow-up of public procurement procedures;
- Monitor contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Manage and update the institution’s legal documentation (filing and archiving of documents);
- Act as the primary contact for any internal or external legal questions;
- Advise and assist departments and services as well as the LNS management on legal matters and ensure internal teams are aware of legal issues;
- Advise on the legal and regulatory feasibility of projects and assess associated constraints and risks;
- Alert LNS management to legal risks related to laboratory activities and propose appropriate and pragmatic recommendations;
- Ensure legal and regulatory monitoring;
- Participate in dispute resolution and liaise with lawyers in judicial proceedings;
- Review and/or draft procedures for the legal department.
Qualifications needed
- Holder of a Master’s degree in law (BAC +5);
- Additional training certificate in Luxembourg law (CCDL) is a plus;
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a legal department of a company or public administration, including proven experience in the Luxembourg market;
- Ideally, a good understanding and knowledge of the Luxembourg health sector;
- Legal practice in contract law (including research contracts), intellectual property law, and data protection law;
- Ideally, good knowledge of public procurement law and public law.
