Job Description/Overview:
As a Chapter Lead at BIL, you will be responsible for leading a group of talented individuals within a specific functional area or domain. You will be a key player in fostering a culture of collaboration, skill development, and continuous improvement among your chapter members. Additionally, you will actively contribute to BIL brand as a Tech company where sublime engineering is a strategic lever.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor and inspire a team of professionals, providing guidance, support, and career development opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of the domain’s strategic objectives and goals, aligning them with the company’s mission and vision.
- Act as a liaison between your chapter and senior management, conveying updates, challenges, and opportunities.
- Maintain a deep understanding of your domain and stay up-to-date with industry trends, sharing knowledge and insights with your team.
- Recruit new engineers and develop means and technologies to keep high quality standards during the recruitment journey.
- Continuously improve the onboarding experience so that it becomes memorable
- Collaborate closely with other Chapter Leads, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Set clear performance expectations, track progress, and provide constructive feedback to help team members reach their full potential.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within your domain, identify areas for enhancement, and implement best practices.
- Organize internal and public events to promote engineering expertise, forster alignment, inspire, and contribute positively to the communities of practice.
Qualifications needed
- Perceived as a thought tech leader with sharp understanding of DevOps and hands-on experience
- You have 10+ years of relevant experience preferably within the banking sector
- Mandatory languages : French and English. Any other language is an asset
- Master’s degree in computer science. A bachelor’s degree with the expected experience is also accepted
- Practical experience of Agile Delivery
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Exceptional communication (including public speaking), collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong individual coaching and technical coaching skills
- Low Code Engineering Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
