Job Description/Overview:
Bilton Welding and Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking a reliable, goal-driven, and skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of heavy-duty equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- – Diagnose and repair issues with diverse heavy-duty equipment.
- – Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- – Develop and execute equipment repair and maintenance plans.
- – Conduct oil changes and services on company forklifts and vehicles.
- – Repair and maintain overhead cranes, compressors, and other various equipment.
- – Solve mechanical problems using hands-on skills and resourcefulness.
- – Adhere to safety and shop policies and procedures.
- – Maintain a positive team-focused attitude and communicate effectively.
Qualifications needed:
- – Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (CHDET) or Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic, or 3rd/4th Year Apprentice with experience.
- – Proficiency in diesel systems diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.
- – Experience with engine overhauls and resolving mechanical issues.
- – Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, schematics, and line diagrams.
- – Ability to work at heights and strong attention to detail.
- – Basic computer literacy and safe operation of hand and power tools.
- – Strong work ethic, dedication to quality, and excellent communication skills.
Experience:
– Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty equipment.
– Experience with engine overhauls and hydraulic systems.
Skills:
– Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
– Ability to follow safety practices and procedures.
– Competency in using computer applications.
