Job Description/Overview:
Lake Excavating Ltd. is hiring a Heavy Duty Mechanic for their Williams Lake shop. The role involves overhauling, servicing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining heavy-duty equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in and adhere to health & safety programs/policies/procedures.
- Perform duties ranging from routine maintenance to major breakdowns, including troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Disassemble and reassemble components: engines, transmissions, cooling systems, fuel & exhaust systems, brakes, clutches, differentials, hydraulics, electrical, lubrication systems, etc.
- Provide innovative and cost-effective solutions and best practices.
Qualifications needed:
– Valid driver’s license.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong interpersonal skills.
– Basic hand tools up to ¾” drive.
– Red Seal Journeypersons or Heavy-duty tech certification would be a benefit.
Experience:
Experience in repairing heavy-duty equipment is required.
Skills:
– Diagnostic and repair skills for heavy-duty equipment.
– Maintenance of various mechanical systems.
– Independent work capabilities and team collaboration.
