Job Description/Overview:
Saunders Landscaping is seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join their team immediately. The candidate will work in a shop that maintains, repairs, and services a combination of trucks and equipment. Fleet maintenance experience is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair equipment such as skid steers, excavators, trailers, and fleet vehicles including gravel trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance and keep detailed records.
- Ensure tools and equipment are well maintained.
- Ability to work independently and stay on task without supervision.
Qualifications needed:
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and fleet vehicles.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and keep accurate records.
- Strong self-management skills to work alone and stay on task.
Experience:
Relevant experience in heavy-duty equipment and fleet vehicle maintenance and repair.
Skills:
– Diagnostic and repair skills for heavy equipment.
– Maintenance record-keeping.
– Self-management and independent work capabilities.
