Job Description/Overview:
Gregg Distributors LP is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic for their CVIP Truck Repair facility in Edmonton. The role involves servicing and maintaining a fleet of over 100 vehicles, including diesel units and highway tractors. The successful candidate should be hands-on and versatile with a background in emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
– Perform scheduled maintenance and service (oil changes, lubrications, brakes, etc.).
– Diagnose and repair mechanical failures.
– Inspect and test vehicles for proper operation.
– Maintain a clean and efficient work area.
– Communicate with management about vehicle repairs and recommendations.
– Take on and complete maintenance repair projects.
Qualifications needed:
– Experience in diesel motor vehicle service and repair.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
– Background in emissions and a valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brake is required; Class 1 license and CVI (Alberta) Technician License are assets.
Experience:
– Experience in a professional, structured environment with a high level of attention to detail.
Skills:
– Ability to multitask and lead a team.
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
