Job Description/Overview:
J. Rice Concrete Limited is hiring a Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to troubleshoot, inspect, and repair heavy trucks and equipment. The role involves performing mechanical maintenance and repair in a demanding work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
- Keep maintenance reports and documentation.
- Perform repair work on heavy trucks.
Qualifications needed:
- Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Diesel engine repair specialization.
- Experience with mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy-duty equipment.
Experience:
Experience in heavy-duty equipment repair is an asset.
Skills:
– Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
– Strong attention to detail and physical stamina.
– Ability to work with hand and power tools.
