Job Description/Overview:
Citizens Advice Reading is seeking a Universal Credit Help to Claim (HTC) Adviser to provide end-to-end support for individuals making new Universal Credit claims. The role involves interviewing clients with sensitivity, offering support through the claims process, and ensuring clients are prepared for their first payment. The position requires good IT and telephone skills, and a commitment to the Citizens Advice Service’s principles.
Key Responsibilities:
– Offer comprehensive support for new Universal Credit claims.
– Conduct interviews with clients using sensitive listening and questioning techniques.
– Empower clients to navigate the claims process effectively.
– Provide support via telephone and web chat.
– Ensure clients are prepared for their first Universal Credit payment.
Qualifications needed:
– Strong IT and telephone skills.
– Commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Service.
– Experience in similar advisory roles is advantageous.
Experience:
– Previous experience in a support or advisory role preferred.
Skills:
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to handle sensitive information and provide empathetic support.
